FifthColor is looking for an Installation Manager – Sporting Events Signage & Activations to join our growing team.

FifthColor is a renowned activation and event solutions provider specializing in signage and installations for world-class golf events. We take pride in delivering exceptional quality and service, contributing to the success of major tournaments, and enhancing the overall spectator experience.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Installation Manager dedicated to overseeing the installation specialists responsible for signage, fencing, and activations at major sporting events nationwide. This pivotal role ensures flawless execution, compliance with event regulations, and exceptional quality standards within a tight deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of installation specialists to travel, implement, and install signage for world-class sporting events nationwide. 
  • Based on task lists and site plans, manage the signage orders, installation, adjustment, and removal of various structures, including signage, flags, fencing, and barriers.
  • Ensure strict adherence to event specifications, regulations, and highest quality standards throughout installations while meeting deadlines.
  • Communicate signage requests promptly, working with FifthColor project managers on order details and timelines.
  • Collaborate with event leaders, project managers, and team members to execute installations efficiently and on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues during events, maintaining smooth operations.
  • Oversee dismantling and removal post-event, following proper handling and storage protocols. 
  • Maintain and repair equipment to ensure readiness for future events, ensuring cleanliness and organization after completion of jobs.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing teams for large-scale projects or events, ideally in the golf or sports industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical expertise in print, signage, installation, adjustment, and removal processes.
  • Working knowledge of event regulations, safety protocols, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot installation-related issues effectively.
  • Collaborative mindset with outstanding communication skills to liaise with diverse teams.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Labor in the context of golf events or other large-scale sporting events is a bonus.
  • Construction background or carpenter skills are a plus.
  • Experience in golf course maintenance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of golf preferred.
  • Knowledge of printing or press operations is also preferred.

Events / Working Conditions

  • Outside of the office, early mornings and some late evenings.
  • Various challenging weather conditions.
  • Work hours vary (Some 10+ hour workdays in succession at events).
  • Intense timelines for task completion.
  • As a physically challenging position, the candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. at certain times.
