Program Overview

FifthColor’s Installation Specialist Co-Op Program gives students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in live event production and large-scale installations while contributing to meaningful work that supports FifthColor’s growth. As a leading activation and event solutions provider trusted at world-class events like the PGA, USGA, Ryder Cup and College Football Playoff, FifthColor is committed to developing early career talent and building a strong pipeline for future full-time roles.

As an Installation Specialist Co-Op, you will work alongside experienced team members to support the setup and execution of event infrastructure across the country, playing a key role in bringing major sporting events to life through on-site installations. Working alongside project managers and the events team, you will gain exposure to how planning, precision and teamwork come together to deliver experiences that get remembered. Through meaningful project work, mentorship and hands-on collaboration, you will develop practical skills while helping shape FifthColor’s live event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of signage and event elements at major sporting events nationwide.
  • Help install, adjust and remove signage, support structures, flags, flagpoles, spectator barriers and fencing.
  • Follow site plans and task lists to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  • Support finishing tasks such as painting and prepping signage for installation.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet tight event deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic installation challenges on-site.
  • Assist with post-event breakdown, removal and proper storage of materials.
  • Help maintain tools and equipment for future events.
  • Keep job sites clean, organized and safe throughout projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from high school, trade school or college.
  • Interest in hands-on work, events, construction or operations.
  • Basic familiarity with hand tools (drills, saws, hammers, etc.) is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Positive attitude, reliability and teamwork mindset.
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Travel required for events across the country.
  • Early mornings, late evenings and occasional long workdays (10+ hours).
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
