Waldo State Bank is a historic community bank located in Waldo, Wisconsin, serving individuals, families, and local businesses with personalized financial services. As the financial industry continues to evolve and larger national banks expand their digital capabilities, Waldo State Bank partnered with FifthColor in 2017 to strengthen its brand identity, modernize its digital presence, and develop a sustainable marketing strategy that would support long term growth while preserving the bank’s community-focused values.
The Challenge
Community banks face increasing pressure from national institutions with expansive marketing budgets and sophisticated digital platforms. Waldo State Bank needed a refreshed website that better served customers seeking financial information online, a more consistent brand identity, and a marketing strategy capable of reaching both existing customers and new audiences.

Since the partnership began in 2017, Waldo State Bank has strengthened its digital presence and built a more consistent brand experience across its marketing channels.
Integrated campaigns have generated more than 2.6 million impressions, reached nearly 243,000 people, and reinforced the bank’s visibility in the region. Social advertising achieved a 1.17% click-through rate, while ongoing email communications maintained strong engagement with 9,557 sends, a 16.2% open rate, and a 4.2% click rate.
By aligning brand strategy, digital experience, and ongoing marketing initiatives, Waldo State Bank continues to grow its visibility and remain competitive in a rapidly changing financial industry, while still delivering the personal service that has defined the bank for generations.
