The Ask
Safe Families for Children is a nationwide organization that supports 25,000 volunteers, 100 chapters across the country, and 35,000 hostings. They have a 93% success rate of kids returning home while serving a large number of individuals and families in crisis. The organization needed a mobile content management system to ensure they are streamlining their communication between families, volunteers, and staff.
The Approach
Since their team of volunteers and caseworkers are constantly meeting with families, volunteers, and coaches, they needed a way to be mobile with their case notes and updates. We began by designing an app that would serve as a mobile hub with various functions across the processing pipeline. The goal was to streamline communication between everyone involved in Safe Families for Children.
The Outcome
Our team developed native apps for iOS and Android. The app focuses on the most critical components of casework and family coaching. The team worked directly with the Safe Families Information Technology team, the CMS team, case workers, and volunteers to develop an app that fits everyone’s needs while driving high adoption rates.
In the first 30 days, we saw an 83% adoption (download and repeat opens).
