The Challenge
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Bowl, presented in partnership with Athletes for Care, on Feb. 7, 2026, at Capuchino High School in San Bruno, CA during Super Bowl LX.
While the timing created an opportunity, it also posed a challenge:
- Increase awareness for a new community-driven exhibition event
- Boost in-person attendance for a free game
- Encourage retired NFL players and notable figures to participate
- Stand out amid the noise of championship weekend activities happening across the Bay Area
The event’s mission is to spotlight the challenges veterans face after service and provide them with the visibility and support they deserve.
The Solution
FifthColor stepped in as a community partner, donating strategic expertise and a $5,000 media investment to ensure the DAV Bowl reached the right audiences at the right time.
By aligning messaging with championship weekend momentum and deploying targeted social campaigns alongside on-the-ground activations, we positioned the DAV Bowl as a meaningful and mission-driven lead into the weekend’s marquee football events.
What We Did
Invested $5,000 in paid media and executed targeted Facebook and Instagram campaigns in the Bay Area market.
Developed a strategic social content calendar and designed creative assets deployed across DAV, Athletes for Care, veterans, and participating player channels
Built and managed an RSVP landing page with parking lot reservation coordination to streamline attendance
Supported event activation, including invite only pre-event and post-event parties and game day signage
Deployed a mobile media billboard across San Francisco, strategically routed around major championship weekend events to maximize visibility
